Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Brooklyn, New York, New Lewi’s sound is rooted in the collision of cultures that shaped him. Blending Reggae’s rhythm with Hip-Hop’s grit, his music reflects a journey between islands and inner cities—two worlds that continue to define his identity as an artist.

Inspired early on by legends like The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes, Lewi developed a deep respect for lyrical storytelling and commanding stage presence. His artistry was further refined under the mentorship of Daddy-O of Stetsasonic, where he gained invaluable insight into both music and the business behind it.

Never one to stay in a single lane, Lewi pushed beyond Hip-Hop and Reggae, stepping into the world of rock as one of the lead vocalists in a touring band. The group performed across Europe, opening for major Hungarian acts like Tankcsapda and Alvin és a Mókusok. His vocal roots trace back even earlier to the church, where his cousin—also his choir director—helped shape his foundation as a singer.

After the band’s breakup in 2024, Lewi stepped away from music entirely, uncertain if he would return. But in 2025, encouragement from fellow artists reignited his passion, turning his comeback into a deeply personal and therapeutic journey.

From performing as a child in Jamaica—channeling every move of Michael Jackson—to battling in Brooklyn’s rap scene, to commanding stages across Europe, New Lewi’s path has been anything but ordinary. Now signed to HomeCave Records, he’s entering a new chapter with renewed purpose and momentum.
