In 2018, Shawn Cheatham, Jr. began his public music journey under the brand name of STC Productions.  He grew a passion to learn music production, starting with GarageBand and FL Studio to reproduce his favorite songs as a means to incorporate the process into his own work. He is the founder of SKIDTV and debuted his cinematic career with his high school senior year film project COD3 R3D, which was submitted and considered for the Sundance Festival of 2024. In addition, he became a model as a side passion following  his sister, modeling for Bling Boss Organization (2022), ARTSYJ (2023), HVCHARM, and other shows in the tri-state area. He pushes his creative range to limits he continuously set from each project.

The name " Navi " is short for navigation. Shawn spends much time on reflection, seeking knowledge and purpose from each project he works on with intent. He rebranded in 2023 with his new alias, Shawn Navi, following some life transitions during high school, giving his self-discovering career an identity.

Navi has composed music videos and studio produced, engineered, and mixed music for artists Veve C, GM, New Lewi, Caine Capone, and other inspired music artist working with the HomeCave Records brand.  He has remixed many different music projects and collaborated with other notable music producers like Mistickk and Citoonthebeat.  He is currently studying Music Production in Ramapo College of New Jersey, being a high participant within his community and singing in their Gospel choir. With high ambition, Navi continues to use his passion to bring his and others' visions into life.
